Nuno drops Niclas Fullkrug update and reveals when West Ham will have Mavropanos back

Nuno Espirito Santo confirms that West Ham United’s Premier League clash with Newcastle on Sunday will come too soon for Niclas Fullkrug, while Konstantinos Mavropanos and Ollie Scarles are also unavailable.

Hammers News were informed that Nuno hoped to have Fullkrug back for the visit of Eddie Howe’s Magpies on November 2nd.

A proverbial six-pointer against Burnley six days later now appears to be a more realistic target, however.

West Ham United have lost Ollie Scarles to a dislocated shoulder as well. Konstantinos Mavropanos is unavailable too, having already missed the defeats by Brentford and Leeds, although he is making positive progress.

Nuno shares when West Ham United could have Niclas Fullkrug and Dinos Mavropanos back

When asked about Mavropanos during his Friday press conference, Nuno Espirito Santo confirmed that the big Greek centre-back will remain on the sidelines for about another fortnight.

“He’s now started the fitness programme, his first session on the grass,” Nuno says. “So, we expect a couple of weeks more for him to be totally available.

“Ollie Scarles, of course, he went to surgery yesterday. It went well. He is going to be out for a while. And Niclas Fullkrug is out.

“Still not totally sure when [Fullkrug will be back] but he’s started already on the grass, not totally with the group. We expect it is going to be fast.”
