Daniel Cummings is finally on the comeback trail at West Ham United following an injury-hit start to the Premier League 2 season for the summer signing from Celtic.
Scotland Under-19 international Cummings bid an emotional Celtic farewell at the beginning of July, moving south of the border for a reported fee of £250,000.
However, after undergoing shoulder surgery, the talented striker was forced to wait just shy of five months for his first competitive appearance in a West Ham United shirt. That wait has now finally come to an end.

Daniel Cummings plays his first minutes for West Ham United
Cummings made his long-awaited Hammers Under-21 debut as a very late substitute in Friday’s 1-0 victory over Aston Villa.
The in-form Emeka Adiele set up Gabriel Caliste’s winning goal against the Villains on a night when one of the most exciting teenage forwards in Britain belatedly entered the fray.
Cummings then played the final 20 minutes or so of Tuesday’s 3-2 EFL Trophy victory over Swindon Town. An invaluable run-out for a striker desperate to build up his match fitness.
Scorer of 38 goals in 58 appearances for Celtic’s B team, West Ham sporting director Mark Noble is a huge fan of the 19-year-old marksman. Now, amongst a talented crop of Under-21 players in East London, Cummings will be hoping to finally show what all the fuss is about.
