With a deal for Real Madrid benchwarmer Endrick appearing unlikely, West Ham United have been offered another couple of Brazilian forwards as the Premier League strugglers look to solve their goalscoring issues.
Even before Niclas Fullkrug was ruled out with another injury – albeit the Germany international could return against Newcastle on Saturday – goals were in short supply for those in claret and blue.
Fullkrug has not found the target even once this season. Callum Wilson has only that late header away to Nottingham Forest, when Nuno Espirito Santo was managing against the Hammers, to show for his efforts.
And while Nuno likes what he sees from Callum Marshall, that his first port of call in recent matches has been to introduce a 20-year-old without a single top-flight goal to his name is reflective of an alarming lack of attacking depth at West Ham United’s disposal.
Hammers News have already confirmed that Nuno hopes to address that striking problem during the January transfer window. But with funds at a premium – even Endrick could be too expensive, despite Real Madrid’s willingness to let him leave on loan – more affordable, somewhat left-field solutions may be required.
And, in a new update provided to Hammers News on Wednesday, chief football correspondent Graeme Bailey can confirm that the team sitting second-from-bottom in the Premier League have been ‘offered’ the chance to pursue potential deals for Flamengo hitman Pedro and Cruzeiro talisman Kaio Jorge.

West Ham United ‘offered’ Brazil duo Pedro and Kaio Jorge
Bailey adds that intermediaries have brought both Pedro and Kaio Jorge to West Ham’s attention, while holding discussions with the East London outfit.
Whether things progress any further than this remain to be seen. Though it should be said that both of the Brazil internationals have been linked with a move to the English capital before.
Three-time Brazil international Pedro was mentioned in 2023, when Gianluca Scamacca left to join Atalanta. Even more interestingly, Kaio Jorge moved to play down those West Ham rumours in September.
After RTI Esporte reported that Nuno’s side were considering a bid in the region of £22 million, Cruzeiro’s top scorer insisted that he was in no rush to make a move across the Atlantic for a second time. Kaio Jorge played only nine Serie A matches during a difficult three-year spell at Juventus between 2021 and 2024.
“I really want to stay at Cruzeiro,” Kaio Jorge, who has scored 20 goals in 38 matches for Cruzeiro this season, told Caze TV. “Everyone knows that, that I’m very happy here.
“Right now, I’m not thinking about going abroad, despite the speculation. An offer should come in soon, but I hope to stay here for a long time.”
Yet, intermediaries with knowledge of the situation clearly seem to believe that there could be a deal to be done. Kaio Jorge has played alongside Lucas Paqueta for the Brazil national team. And while rumours are swirling around Paqueta once again, the presence of another Selecao star in the London Stadium dressing room would potentially ease Kaio Jorge’s adaptation.
Pedro, half a decade older than Jorge at the age of 28, has been one of the most prolific centre-forwards in South America across recent seasons, meanwhile.
After hitting 35 and 30 in his last two campaigns for Flamengo, the 6ft 1ins powerhouse is well on track to do the same again with 15 in his last 22 outings.
Real Madrid’s Endrick is too expensive for West Ham
On the subject of Endrick, the aforementioned Bailey explains how West Ham have tried to sign the Real Madrid starlet on two occasions before. First, when he moved to Spain following his 18th birthday in the summer of 2024. And again during the 2025 January window.
Fellow Los Blancos prospect Gonzalo Garcia is another West Ham target.
“West Ham are working hard behind scenes. They have been and are talking to Madrid. They need to improve things for Nuno,” Bailey said last week. “Endrick and Garcia are players they like and, in theory, [a deal] is possible.
“On Endrick, we know his deal is big and would be tough. As it stands, I am told he is most likely to stay in Spain on loan. Garcia is possible, but there are a lot of clubs who want him.
“[There is plenty of interest in] both of them to be fair.”
It can now be revealed that West Ham are likely to be priced out of a deal for a 19-year-old who joined the La Liga giants on an eye-watering £52 million deal from Palmeiras. Endrick earns around £100,000-a-week.
This, plus a potentially hefty loan fee, appears to put the seldom-seen teenager out of reach.
