Jamie Carragher has launched a fiery, no-holds-barred rant about David Sullivan, slamming the West Ham chief in an explosive outburst.
West Ham plumbed new depths as they were played off the park to lose 2-0 at home to Brentford.
The Hammers have won just two games at the London Stadium this calendar year, against relegated Leicester and Fulham.
After an encouraging start under Nuno Espirito Santo in two away games at Everton and Arsenal, hopes were high West Ham could finally add to that tally.
But it was another dismal performance which only served to mark the Irons down as genuine relegation candidates, if not certainties.
Hammers now genuine relegation candidates if not certainties
Nuno’s strange team selection and tactics raised a massive red flag for a game of such early season importance.
But West Ham fans are long past blaming managers for the club’s plight.
David Moyes, Julen Lopetegui, Graham Potter and Nuno are not terrible football managers.
That has been proved both before and since their spells with West Ham.
Their records combined since January 2024 are shockingly bad with the Hammers winning just 17 of their last 66 – yes SIXTY SIX – Premier League matches.
Front and centre when it comes to blame at West Ham is majority owner David Sullivan and the board as far as supporters are concerned.

Thousands of West Ham fans boycotted the Brentford game in the latest protest against Sullivan, vice-chair Karren Brady and the ownership.
Chants of ‘sack the board’ still rang out from some of those who had bought tickets to replace them.
West Ham fans are constantly told they should have been careful what they wished for when wanting to move on from Moyes.
The club has been a complete car crash since with Sullivan and co making one monumentally bad decision after another.
Yet Hammers fans are often painted by many rival supporters and the press as fickle, demanding and unrealistic.
Carragher launches explosive Sullivan rant as someone finally gets West Ham fans
West Ham’s Fan Advisory Board issued a public vote of no confidence in the ownership last month.
Since then Potter has been sacked and replaced by Nuno.
But no other significant changes being demanded by fans have been forthcoming.
Further protests are planned with a sit-in against Newcastle and a march against Burnley.
Some feel West Ham fans are entitled and blame them for the club’s predicament given many wanted to move on from Moyes.
But Jamie Carragher is Sky Sports’ leading pundit for a reason.

The former Liverpool great has always spoken well on West Ham, citing the fact he has many friends who are Hammers fans.
It showed too when Carragher launched into an explosive Sullivan rant as someone finally gets West Ham fans.
Given the mess unfolding in east London over the last two years, it will be the best thing Hammers supporters have seen for some time.
Carragher calls Sullivan out over the West Ham debacle and defends fans who are being criticised for protesting.
“West Ham are shocking and they’ve been shocking for a while, a long time,” Carragher said on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football.
“It feels an awful long time ago since they won that European trophy under David Moyes.

“And there’s a reason why supporters react, not just to this ownership but at other clubs. And sometimes when you’re not associated to that club and you stand on the outside looking in, you’re a bit like ‘What are they complaining about’ at times.
“Sometimes we question supporters. But when supporters go against a club or they go against an ownership, a lot of the time it’s almost a last resort.
“And very rarely do supporters of their own football clubs get it wrong. They know exactly what is going on at this football club and it’s not down to managers more often than not.
“The ownership at West Ham is completely different to what we’re seeing at the club that have just absolutely battered them on their own patch.
“It’s (how West Ham are run by Sullivan) is almost like a throwback in terms of how they go about transfers, they have a little go at a director of football.
“Sullivan at the top of that club, he’s been there a few years now, they’ve won a trophy under David Moyes, I get that. But it (how Sullivan runs West Ham) doesn’t feel a modern way of doing things and that’s where the frustration comes from in that support.
“They feel like they look at other clubs who are not a patch on West Ham – and that’s not being disrespectful to Brentford and maybe a Brighton, we look at those two as forward-thinking, modern football clubs the way they run themselves.
“West Ham are a far bigger club than those two clubs I’ve mentioned. But the way they are run right now means they can’t actually compete with them on the pitch.”
Carragher has absolutely nailed it on West Ham and should be applauded for his incisive and cutting analysis.
Especially as it seems far too many in the media are quick to point blame at Hammers fans.
