West Ham United’s Under-21 captain Airidas Golambeckis featured for England today during a 7-0 thrashing of Wales.
In what has been a mixed bag of an international break for those of a claret and blue persuasion – Konstantinos Mavropanos staggered in Scotland, Tomas Soucek flopped against the Faroe Islands, but Jarrod Bowen impressed off the bench for Thomas Tuchel – one of West Ham United’s brightest talents marked his fifth cap for England’s Under-19s in style.
Airidas Golambeckis is already a regular in the Under-19 set-up, despite still being a month away from his 18th birthday.
This, though, is nothing new for him. Golambeckis is following in Declan Rice’s footsteps while captaining West Ham’s Under-21s at the age of 17.
He looks the part on Three Lions duty, too.

Airidas Golambeckis features as England beat Wales U19’s 7-0
Five days after Tuchel’s England swept Wales aside at Wembley, Golambeckis helped Will Antwi’s team smash their neighbours 7-0 at La Quinta Football Centre in Marbella.
The likes of Trey Nyoni [Liverpool], Chris Rigg [Sunderland], Mikey Moore [Rangers, on loan from Tottenham] and Arsenal whizzkid Max Dowman were also on the scoresheet.
This means that, across his five England Under-19 appearances, Golambeckis has won four times with an aggregate scoreline of 20-5.
