Elite level manager linked with West Ham after keeping house in London

Elite level manager Thomas Tuchel is being linked with West Ham again after keeping his house in London from his time at Chelsea.

David Moyes is said to be fighting to save his job since West Ham’s biggest home league defeat for 61 years.

The 6-0 drubbing to Arsenal followed a 3-0 collapse at Man United and extended West Ham’s winless run to seven games since the turn of the year.

It is the nature of the defeat to the Gunners that has piled pressure on Moyes, though.

A plethora of managers have been linked as potential replacements since.

Tuchel linked with West Ham again after keeping house in London

From Paulo Fonseca and Steve Cooper to Graham Potter.

Now Thomas Tuchel has been linked with West Ham again after keeping his house in London.

And Hammers technical director Tim Steidten is confident he would join the club.

West Ham were heavily linked with an ambitious move to appoint Tuchel the last time Moyes faced such intense pressure – in January last year.

But the former Dortmund, PSG and Chelsea boss was appointed Bayern Munich manager.

Elite level manager is Hammers target claim two journalists

Tuchel looks set to be sacked by the Germans at the end of the season, if not before.

And now he’s being linked with West Ham once again.

Tuchel kept his house in London after his Chelsea sacking, as reported when he was linked with the Hammers last.

That was confirmed when The Daily Mail confirmed he held talks with Harry Kane there.

Now two journalists are claiming Tuchel is back on West Ham’s radar to replace Moyes in the summer.

Steidten ‘confident’ Tuchel would join

Dean Jones has told SportLens West Ham will look to be ambitious and Tuchel is very much on their list.

And Graeme Bailey has also claimed on HITC that the Hammers want the 50-year-old at the London Stadium.

This also reportedly plays into a wider plan to keep technical director Steidten from joining Liverpool.

We reported on claims David Sullivan will give Steidten full control in appointing Moyes’ successor to keep him in east London.

It is also stated that Steidten rates his compatriot Tuchel highly.

Not only that, but Bailey says the duo came close to working together at Chelsea before Tuchel’s surprise dismissal. And West Ham’s recruitment chief is ‘confident’ his fellow German could be convinced to join the club.

“Steidten has remained close to Tuchel and believes that he could be persuaded to join West Ham – if the chance arose,” Bailey claims.
