West Ham United travel to Anfield on December 20th for our Carabao Cup quarter-final clash with Liverpool.
Either way, it will be a really tough game for us. Aside from the difficulty of the challenge, there could be an interesting sub-plot.
Reds stopper Alisson Becker suffered a potential hamstring injury during their draw with Manchester City on Saturday, and the Evening Standard claim that it could keep him out of action anywhere from a few weeks to the end of the year (which would be five weeks).
As a result, former Hammer Adrian could fill in for the Brazilian. Now, Caoimhin Kelleher could replace Alisson, but the Irishman has been poor whenever he has played for Liverpool recently.
So an Adrian reunion could definitely be on the cards for West Ham next month…

West Ham reunion on the cards for Liverpool Carabao Cup tie
Adrian, 36, left the London Stadium as a free agent in the summer of 2019, before immediately linking up with Liverpool on a free transfer.
The Spaniard was somewhat of a cult hero at West Ham, playing 150 games for the club and keeping 43 clean sheets in the process (Transfermarkt).
However, he has made only 26 appearances for Liverpool, and he’s very much Alisson’s understudy.
The experienced goalkeeper is still yet to face West Ham since he swapped East London for Merseyside just over four years ago.
So it will be great to square off against him for the first time at Anfield in three week’s time. Whether Alisson recovers in time for the game remains to be seen though, and as mentioned earlier, Klopp could select Kelleher for the game.
The Liverpool vs West Ham Carabao Cup clash is on December 20th, and the winners of the tie will fancy their chances of lifting the trophy in February.
